Bracknell Queen Bees 12 - 0 Guildford Lightning - Match Report

Another big win, and shut out for the Queen Bees.

Bracknell Queen Bees took on the Guildford Lightning for the third time this season on Sunday 14th April, face off 6.30PM at Guildford.

Bracknell were out to continue their winning streak, and make it three wins from three games against the Lightning for the 18/19 regular season. The Queen Bees were off to a strong start in the first period racking up 19 shots, scoring 7 of those, with hat tricks from Rachel Cartwright, Katherine Gale and a further goal from Abbie Sylvester.

The Queen Bees headed into the second period up 7-0, Guildford made a goalie change which kept the Queen Bees to adding only a further 2 goals from 27 shots. Goals in the second period came from Katherine Gale and Ellie Wakeling to make it 9-0.

Third period saw goals from Chrissy Newman, Marguerite Laffitte and Emily Harris to make it a double figure finish for the Queen Bees, 12-0.

Player of the game was Katherine Gale, and Sam Bonathan recorded her fourth shut out of the campaign.

The Queen Bees take on Guildford for a final time in the regular season on the 19th May at Bracknell, face off 3.25PM.
