The Queen Bees welcomed the Swindon Topcats to the Hive on Saturday, which marked the half way point of their season.
The Queen Bees dominated the first period with 21 shots on net but found themselves trailing at the first interval, 0-1 to Swindon.
It only took 34 seconds into the second period for the Queen Bees to strike back with a goal from Lane. Another four goals scored in the second period with two from Newman and Gale making the score 5-1 after the second period. The third period saw the Queen Bees continue their dominance with a further 5 goals added to the tally with a hatrick from Aldridge, a second for Lane and Gale completing her hatrick.
Two goal filled periods saw the Queen Bees take a 10-1 win. Rachel Cartwright was named player of the game contributing 5 assists. The Queen Bees took the two points to extend the lead at the top of the Elite League to 3 points with 3 games in hand and a record of 10GP 9W 1D 0L.
The Queen Bees are back in action with a double header on the 16 and 17 March. They face Guildford at home on the 16th March at 3.25pm, and Swindon away on the 17th March at 1pm.
