Queen Bees held at home - Match Report

2-2 draw at the Hive last night.

The Queen Bees were back in action for the first time this year, with their last game a away win to Hull on the 9th December. They hosted Solihull Vixens for their second meeting of the season at the Hive.

First period, Queen Bees broke the deadlock at 18.14 with a first Queen Bees goal from Maddie Remmington, assists from Laffitte and Newman. Queen Bees out shot the Vixens 13 to 4 and went into the first break in the lead.

The second goal came just over twenty minutes later, in the second period. A nice move in front of the net by Natz Aldridge, assited by Lane at 38.37 putting the QB's up 2-0 into the third.

Third period saw a switch of possession and shots, with the Vixens 13 shots, to QB's 6. They came back to make it 2-1 with about 10 minutes to go. Queen Bees were down to 3 players due to penalties and Vixens got their second goal of the game with 8 seconds to go to draw the game on the powerplay.

Player of the game for Queen Bees was Kim Lane.

Queen Bees take a point from the game, and remain at the top of the table with a game in hand on 2nd place Guildford.
Next game for the Queen Bees is away at Solihull next weekend, 26th January at 4:25pm.
